London (2 April 2024): Hologram, a Mobile Virtual Network Operator that connects remote devices via cellular networks, has joined IoT M2M Council (IMC), the largest trade association dedicated to the global IoT sector. As a connectivity provider, the company offers a suite of SIMs, recently introducing its Dual-Core SIM technology which offers reliable, redundant coverage through two profiles on a single SIM card. This enables the SIM (and the device that uses it) to remain in communication when one of its profiles experiences network failure. The IMC is comprised of 28,000 IoT product makers and enterprise users that buy IoT technology, the great majority of whom use cellular networks for device connectivity.
“Operational leaders, like many IMC Adopter Members, are on a constant quest for practical solutions to their challenges,” said Cory Dixon, Hologram’s Senior Sales Engineer and the company’s representative on the IMC board. “Joining the IMC is an opportunity for us to contribute to educating the industry on new solutions and to build meaningful relationships that help push connectivity forward.” Hologram contractually guarantees 99.5% uptime with its Dual-Core SIMs, making them ideal for IoT applications that are mission-critical. “We put a lot of time and thought into the development of an outage-proof SIM with maximum redundancy,” says Dixon.
For its part, the IMC’s Adopter Members cover 27 different vertical markets, including many where uptime is at a premium, like medical devices, supply chain management, and energy grids. Virtually all of the IMC’s rank-and-file members qualify as IoT buyers, which differentiates the community from other IoT communities. “We welcome Hologram to our board – IMC Adopters will benefit from the company’s perspective with regards to IoT connectivity,” says IMC Chairman Sam Colley, Digital Connectivity Portfolio Strategist at SIM technology provider Giesecke+Devrient, “our members are always seeking to benefit from the combined experience and knowledge of the sustaining members and therefore any new addition significantly increases the value of the organization a whole.”
