Theisen’s Home Farm Auto has installed Tally shelf-scanning inventory robots to three of its US stores.
This marks the retailer’s first phase in adopting technology to deliver a better experience to customers and staff alike.
The stores are in Dubuque and Dyersville in Iowa and Jefferson in Wisconsin.
Using AI and computer vision technology, the robots identify out-of-stock items, pricing errors and misplaced products, collecting product data and providing quick actions for Theisen’s staff.
With Tally’s insights, store teams can ensure items are adequately stocked and priced right, while enabling faster fulfilment of online orders. Tally makes store teams’ jobs easier and more enjoyable, freeing up time to support customers.
“We are committed to delivering the highest quality shopping experience for our valued customers, and Tally is a powerful tool for taking that to the next level,” said Steve Jensen, chief marketing officer at Theisen’s. “Bringing Tally to our Dubuque, Dyersville and Jefferson locations is an exciting step forward. This technology makes daily tasks more efficient, so our teams can focus on what matters most, taking care of customers.”
Tally is intuitive, friendly and fits naturally into the retail environment. Intentionally designed to be shy and unobtrusive, Tally makes subtle noises to avoid surprising or startling anyone as it scans shelves. If Tally meets a customer in the aisle, it will pause to allow them to finish their task, go around them, or turn around and come back later so as not to interrupt their shopping.
Family-owned and operated since 1927, Theisen’s Home Farm Auto (www.theisens.com) offers products including farm and ranch supplies, pet food, home improvement essentials, and outdoor gear. It has 24 locations across Iowa and Wisconsin.
The Tally robots are made by California-based Simbe (www.simberobotics.com).
