German AI software company Inform is helping Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast monitor the status of its vehicles from production to delivery.

Inform is a provider of AI-based optimisation software that facilitates enterprise supply chains. It will help VinFast closely monitor the delivery status of its vehicles, optimising the process and enabling quick and accurate decisions.

Inform will provide vehicle logistics management software to VinFast, including transport management software (TMS) and a vehicle yard management system (YMS). This software should deliver end-to-end transparency along with processes from ordering the vehicle to its delivery to customers, making the delivery process faster, more efficient and sustainable.

VinFast can monitor its EV logistics, optimising processes from vehicle ordering and vehicle delivery, to vehicle recalls.

Major ports in the USA, Canada, Europe and Vietnam will benefit from Inform’s technology through optimised yard management, workshop scheduling activities, workforce management, and logistics service provider routing activities.

In the first phase, Inform’s software will be implemented in the USA, Canada and Vietnam, with Europe following closely behind, effectively supporting the transportation of VinFast electric vehicles to customers. The entire project should be in place across VinFast’s entire ecosystem within 18 to 24 months.

The software can also integrate with VinFast’s other enterprise management software such as SAP and Salesforce customer relation management programme. These technologies will support VinFast’s standards for customer service, sustainability and supply chain resilience.
