Danish transport and logistics firm DSV has deployed around 100 Exotec robots at its logistics centre in Venlo in the Netherlands.

French warehouse robotics firm Exotec has equipped DSV with its end-to-end Skypod system.

With approximately 100 autonomous Skypod robots, DSV is modernising its warehouse operations and taking a step in optimising its supply chain in the Netherlands. Skypod supports fulfilment operations for various retail brands and manages approximately 90,000 bins and trays. This enables DSV to scale processing capacity and storage density rapidly without major structural modifications as demand or product assortment changes.

The goods-to-person installation increases operational efficiency and enhances the warehouse’s flexibility and scalability. This enables DSV to meet strict SLA requirements, control operational costs and maintain resilience during peak periods such as seasonal campaigns. The operation, including a mezzanine level dedicated to returns, incorporates additional functionalities such as the automatic opening, closing and labelling of boxes.
