French third-party logistics provider Ceva Logistics is starting a phased rollout of Manhattan Associates’ Active warehouse and order management products in its global contract logistics operations.

Ceva will deploy Manhattan Active warehouse and order management as part of its innovation initiatives aimed at reinforcing its future-ready tech stack. The integration of Manhattan’s cloud-native tools into Ceva’s existing tech stack should provide a base to tailor its contract logistics offerings based on customer-specific requirements.

Ceva manages more than 11 million square metres of warehouse space across approximately 800 sites in its contract logistics business. Manhattan’s SaaS offerings can handle large volumes with zero downtime, supporting Ceva in quickly onboarding customers and sites.

The Manhattan WMS (www.manh.com/solutions/supply-chain-management-software/warehouse-management) and OMS (www.manh.com/solutions/omnichannel-software-solutions/order-management-system) will also allow Ceva to provide customers with visibility and self-service data dashboards through its MyCeva customer portal.

Ceva will begin deployment at locations across North America and Europe before moving globally. Following the deployment, Manhattan systems will run at more than half of Ceva’s contract logistics sites, with most of the remaining sites using Ceva’s Matrix systems.

“Ceva’s commitment to our customers requires agility to respond to needs, to continuously innovate and to grow alongside them,” said Chris Walton, senior vice president at Ceva Logistics. “The ability to add new technologies plays a major role in how we do this and, at the same time, how we drive our business forward. So, this latest deliverable on our longer-term strategy ensures we are perfectly placed to accelerate the deployment of the latest advances in data, AI, wearables, cobots and other options for the maximum benefit to our customer, while also driving maximum efficiency into all aspects of our global operations.”

Eric Clark, CEO of Manhattan Associates, added: “Manhattan and Ceva place innovation and customers at the core of everything we do, so the business philosophy and synergy between both our companies was clear from the start. We look forward to providing Ceva with the technology innovation needed to stay ahead of competitors, react to global events and turn challenges into opportunities in the fast-moving world of third-party logistics and supply chain.”

Headquartered in Marseille, France, Ceva Logistics (www.cevalogistics.com) offers end-to-end, customisations in contract logistics and air, ocean, ground and finished vehicle transport in 170 countries worldwide thanks to its approximately 110,000 employees at 1500 facilities.
