GenCell and Advanced Parking Technologies (APT) are running live demonstrations to show how their technologies can deliver improved throughput and performance of yard management operations, including off-grid power, DC fast EV charging and battery warehouse charging.

Following successful commissioning of Israeli firm GenCell high-capacity Evox system at the Michigan Technical Resource Park (MITRP, www.mitrp.com), GenCell will work with ATP to show Evox’s capabilities to automotive OEMs and logistics providers through a series of live demonstrations.

Integrating hydrogen fuel cells, battery storage, power conversion technology and proprietary EMS software, the Evox delivers high-capacity, resilient, zero-emission, grid-optional power. Tailored to meet the growing needs of automotive logistics, Evox enables high-capacity, concurrent vehicle EV fast charging where the grid cannot supply sufficient power. In yard management scenarios, it supports around 70% higher vehicle throughput, reduces labour and shuttle movements, and ensures uninterrupted charging to increase fleet readiness.

The results confirm Evox’s ability to deliver resilient, high-capacity power for EV fleets and critical infrastructure, supporting near-term market adoption and scalability.

“By commissioning Evox at MITRP together with APT, we are demonstrating real and proven business value,” said Ron Cardwell, president of GenCell (www.gencellenergy.com) in the USA. “Automotive OEMs are under pressure to electrify their operations quickly, and Evox offers them reliable, zero-emission charging wherever vehicles are staged. This validation underscores our ability to close the power gap and deliver measurable efficiency gains for yard management and other critical distributed power use cases.”

Mike Jones, CEO of Michigan-based APT, added: “APT has long supported OEMs and logistics providers with scalable vehicle storage and yard management. Partnering with GenCell allows us to bring advanced, grid-optional charging directly into the yard. With Evox, our customers can ensure power for all aspects of yard management at all times, even during power outages. Eliminate charging bottlenecks, accelerate throughput, and stay resilient, all while achieving sustainability targets.”
