Wytec International has entered into a co-development agreement with Apex Protocol IP LLC to build an AI-powered public safety monitoring system.

The partnership will focus on the “Apex Protocol,” a platform designed to provide safety assessments for schools, hospitals, and government buildings.

A pilot test is scheduled to begin in March, 2026, in coordination with the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

The platform includes a 500-point scoring framework to measure institutional safety readiness and integrates more than 30 data sources. It also features an AI voice response agent to handle technical queries regarding the company’s gunshot and environmental detection sensors.

Based in San Antonio, Wytec develops integrated public safety solutions that combine edge computing with smart sensors. The company’s current master service agreement covers a marketplace of 90,000 members, including police stations and independent school districts.
