The Utah State Board of Education has selected Raptor Technologies to provide a statewide wearable panic alert system for public K-12 schools. The system will include wearable devices that allow staff to quickly initiate emergency alerts and coordinate response across campuses.

Under state law, all public schools and charter schools in Utah must have a wearable panic alert system in place by June 30, 2026.

The Raptor system will include features such as real-time alerting across devices, direct integration with 911 emergency communications systems, and scenario-based training using Utah-specific protocols. The platform also includes tools for accountability and reunification during emergencies.

Raptor’s solutions are designed to support Utah’s requirements for interoperable, accessible, and scalable panic alert technology across public K-12 schools. Key features include native support for the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM), which help minimise trauma and accelerate reunification.

The selection of Raptor Technologies follows a state-funded procurement process, with Utah public schools able to purchase the comprehensive emergency management platform, including wearable panic alert devices and required safety, compliance, and preparedness training for school safety and security specialists.
