The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has awarded Parsons a 10-year contract to implement a statewide Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) management system. The agreement involves the deployment of Parsons’ iNET software to manage Utah’s expanding network of connected vehicle devices.
The cloud-based platform will provide UDOT with real-time health monitoring and performance analytics for its V2X infrastructure. The system is designed to help the agency operate and scale its connected mobility network as more vehicles and infrastructure components begin to exchange data. Parsons will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the system.
“The statewide deployment of our iNET V2X platform demonstrates our technical maturity and continued investment in innovative, scalable solutions,” said Mark Fialkowski, President of Infrastructure North America for Parsons. He stated the project would help improve connectivity and safety across the state’s transportation network.
The contract represents new work for Parsons and strengthens its portfolio in the smart mobility sector. The iNET platform is an Advanced Traffic Management Solution used by transportation agencies to modernise infrastructure for automated mobility. Parsons provides technology services across the national security and global infrastructure markets, including cyber warfare and critical infrastructure protection.
