California-based Tradewinds Networks and AA Strategy are partnering to scale the deployment of edge AI-enabled private networks and smart city infrastructure. The collaboration integrates AA Strategy’s wireless engineering expertise into Tradewinds’ Owner-Hosted Community Network (OHCN) architecture.
The partnership focuses on the design and engineering of private LTE and 5G networks optimised for industrial and urban applications. The networks are designed for emergency and public safety communications. They also support mission-critical mobile connectivity over private LTE and 5G. Real-time data processing occurs at the network edge.
These networks utilise Dell PowerEdge XR8000 servers for distributed computing and the Ecrio iota Communication platform for AI-driven broadband.
“By partnering with AA Strategy, we are strengthening the engineering foundation behind our Owner-Hosted Community Network model to deliver some of the most advanced AI-ready broadband and private wireless ecosystems in the industry,” said Keith Alexis, President and CTO of Tradewinds Networks.
The OHCN model combines owner-hosted broadband with secure wireless infrastructure, edge AI compute environments, and proactive cybersecurity. Tradewinds stated that the integrated approach is intended to provide both financial returns and social impact by closing the digital divide in underserved communities. The engineering support from AA Strategy will allow for faster scaling of these systems across the United States and international markets.
