Singapore-based STAR Systems International has deployed multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) tolling technology on the Delhi-Jaipur Pink City Expressway in Rajasthan. The system allows vehicles to travel at highway speeds without stopping at conventional toll barriers, using RFID technology to process transactions in real time.

The deployment uses the Titan Pro reader and Avior antenna to identify and validate vehicles across multiple lanes. The technology is designed to reduce traffic congestion, lower fuel consumption, and decrease vehicle emissions by eliminating the need for physical toll booths.

The project is part of a wider expansion of MLFF systems across India, with additional deployments in Gujarat, Haryana, and other sections of the NH-48 and NH-44 corridors. These initiatives support the Indian government’s strategy to digitise the national highway network and modernise tolling infrastructure.

The hardware used in these projects is engineered for high-speed environments, creating controlled read zones that maintain accuracy in complex traffic conditions. The system integrates with existing national tolling ecosystems to provide seamless billing for motorists and commercial fleets.
