Naples public healthcare provider has deployed Armis Centrix, a cyber exposure management platform, to monitor its physical and virtual assets in real-time. The decision comes amid increasing cybersecurity threats targeting the healthcare sector.
Prior to implementing Armis Centrix, ASL Napoli 1 Centro, the public healthcare provider for Naples, lacked the tools to track its connected biomedical inventory and associated risks. The platform provides a comprehensive view of the organisation’s network-connected devices, including identification, status, and security posture.
ASL Napoli 1 Centro’s network spans more than 100 facilities across Naples and encompasses roughly 18,000 biomedical devices, over 2,000 of which are connected and continuously collecting, processing and transmitting clinical data. With the help of Armis, ASL Napoli 1 Centro has improved its overall security posture and enabled compliance with national guidelines and NIS2 directives.
“We were able to achieve practical time-to-value with Armis, with valuable information delivered as soon as the system was activated,” said Fulvio Paone, Director of the ICT and Digital Transformation Unit at ASL Napoli 1 Centro. “The platform has given us visibility into a critical area, allowing us to make informed decisions about investment and resource allocation.”
