Mark43 has reported that a growing number of police and fire departments across Massachusetts, including the City of Boston, are modernising their operations with the company’s cloud public safety platform.

New York-based Mark43 has completed over a dozen launches across Massachusetts in the past 18 months.

The platform, which includes dispatch, records, booking, mobile workflows, and analytics capabilities, aims to unify and streamline the operations of agencies across the state.

Massachusetts departments selecting Mark43’s platform include the Boston Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Unit, Methuen Police Department, Reading Police Department, Lawrence Police Department, Carlisle Police Department, and Northampton Police Department.

The platform’s capabilities include a Records Management System (RMS) that helps departments meet evolving compliance and reporting requirements, as well as an AI-assisted Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system that streamlines workflows by reducing cognitive load for call-takers and dispatchers. The platform also includes mobile tools that provide real-time information to officers in the field.

Mark43 officials have stated that their company has made significant investments in enhancing its compliance capabilities, including becoming fully Massachusetts CJIS-certified. This certification allows agencies using Mark43’s platform to rely on secure and protected data for all operations.

Chief Scott McNamara of the Methuen Police Department noted that his department was “thrilled” with the partnership, while District Chief Michael Dillon of the Boston Fire Department stated that Mark43’s platform has “streamlined our reporting” and provided “accurate, real-time data” for decision-making.
