Indonesia township Kota Deltamas, located in West Java, has launched a smart city command centre through a partnership with PT Samakta Mitra and NEC Indonesia. The centre is designed to optimise estate management through integration of IoT and AI technology.
The command centre will provide real-time visibility and accuracy over field operations across the Deltamas Industrial Estate by synthesising data from CCTV cameras, traffic management systems, and environmental sensors. This approach aims to standardise decision-making, whether for routine operations or critical emergency response, and ensure a secure industrial environment.
Features of the Smart City Command Centre include advanced hazard alerts for landslide and flood detection, as well as proactive traffic and security monitoring.
According to PT Samakta Mitra’s CEO, Irvan Yasni, “The collaboration with NEC Indonesia is a strategic step in providing technological solutions that strengthen management of the Deltamas industrial area.”
Tommy Satriotomo, Operations Director of Kota Deltamas, stated, “Digital readiness is no longer optional, but a necessity to remain competitive. The Smart City Command Centre is a critical digital foundation for the Deltamas Industrial Estate to improve safety, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness through data-driven decision-making.”
Joji Yamamoto, President Director of NEC Indonesia, emphasised the importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding operations against Industry 4.0 risks.
The Deltamas Industrial Estate spans approximately 2,200 hectares and is home to over 205 national and international companies across various sectors. The Smart City Command Centre is located within the Greenland International Industrial Centre (GIIC), which features modern infrastructure including clean water management, waste treatment, and a fibre optic network.
