Iveda has launched a new traffic management module for its AI video surveillance platform, targeting the city and municipal infrastructure market.

The software-based module allows cities to use existing intersection cameras for real-time vehicle counting, speed monitoring, and congestion analysis.

The company confirmed it is currently negotiating pilot deployments with several American cities and transportation agencies for 2026.

CEO David Ly stated that the system is designed to provide situational awareness and event detection, such as collisions or red-light violations, without requiring new hardware installations. The company estimates the cost at approximately $20,000 per intersection.

The launch comes as the intelligent traffic management market is projected to reach $28 billion by 2030. Iveda, headquartered in Arizona with operations in Taiwan, specialises in cloud-based video AI search and surveillance technologies.
