Video surveillance technology firm Iveda has established its European operations centre in Madrid, Spain. The move marks the company’s first presence in Europe and follows expansion in other regions, including the US, Taiwan, Philippines, and Egypt.
According to the Arizona-based company, the decision to establish an operations centre in Madrid was driven by growing demand for AI-driven video surveillance solutions in the region.
Iveda Spain will serve as a hub for the company’s European activities, with a focus on delivering AI-powered surveillance and smart infrastructure solutions to municipalities, enterprises, and critical infrastructure providers.
The company is aiming to capitalise on predicted growth in the European market for smart city technologies driven by demand for AI, IoT, and big data solutions.
Iveda has stated that its technology meets EU standards, including compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and certification under the US Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY Act.
Iveda’s expansion into Europe follows recent EU measures aimed at increasing scrutiny on certain Chinese software providers.
Iveda Spain will operate independently, with a team focused on delivering IvedaAI and other solutions to municipalities, enterprises, and critical infrastructure providers across the region.
