Iveda adds 10-cm accurate RT location tracking

Iveda has updated its real-time location system (RTLS) with Bluetooth Angle of Arrival (AoA) technology, enabling asset and personnel tracking with a precision of 10 centimetres. The technology has already been deployed in the City of Changhua, supporting hospital care for a population of 1.2 million in Taiwan’s second most populous area.

The upgraded [IvedaRTLS]https://iveda.com/ivedartls-real-time-location-services-rtls/) platform is designed for use in urban facilities, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and logistics hubs to monitor critical equipment and staff. The system includes anchors with a coverage range of over 25 metres, tags, and management software. It is compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.0+ devices and supports integration with iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS.

The technology has been deployed at Changhua Christian Hospital in Taiwan, which operates over 4,000 beds. The hospital used the system to track wheelchairs, IV pumps, and defibrillators. By implementing geo-fencing, the facility receives alerts when equipment is moved beyond designated areas, reducing asset loss and operational delays.

The hardware supports Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity and is engineered for interference resistance in industrial environments. The system can be configured for both indoor and outdoor use, including wet or exposed conditions.
