Itron has partnered Connected Lighting Solutions (CLS), a subsidiary of Beacon Lighting Group, to expand smart lighting infrastructure in Australia.

CLS has joined the Itron Engage Sales Channel Partner Programme, enabling the deployment of Itron’s Networked Lighting Controller hardware and CityEdge software platform across the country.

The partnership aims to support councils and utilities in deploying advanced smart lighting technologies, which are critical for improving public services, reducing emissions, and enhancing liveability in urban areas. Australia has over 90% of its population living in cities, making updated lighting infrastructure essential.

Under this partnership, CLS will provide local technical support, simplify the procurement process, and reduce deployment risk for Itron’s smart lighting solutions. The partnership also includes end-to-end support from project design to ongoing maintenance for customers deploying Itron’s smart lighting technology.

Itron’s CityEdge platform enables advanced capabilities such as remote streetlight monitoring, adaptive lighting schedules, and real-time outage detection. This solution helps utilities and councils improve safety, reduce energy waste, and lower maintenance costs.
