Transportation data firm INRIX has expanded its AI-driven traffic product line, introducing automated reporting and global vehicle volume profiling.

The update includes a generative AI tool that converts incident data and vehicle signals into automated radio traffic bulletins.

The Washington State-based company has also launched “Volume Profiles,” a model providing vehicle count data in 15-minute increments.

This service, already available in the UK and Canada, is scheduled for expansion to Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and Sweden in 2026.

Chief Executive Bryan Mistele said the investments in machine learning are intended to help government agencies and businesses transition from historical data analysis to predictive action. The suite also includes speed distribution profiles to help transport authorities identify speeding risks on specific road corridors.

The company is also updating its signal analytics platform, which monitors the performance of signalised intersections. The system uses probe data to identify inefficient traffic lights and measure the impact of timing changes without the need for manual field studies or specialised hardware.
