Singapore-based FPT Asia Pacific and Sembcorp Development are to explore joint initiatives in AI, digital infrastructure, and sustainable urban solutions across the Asia-Pacific region.

The partnership will focus on developing AI-enabled applications for energy, utilities, and urban infrastructure. Planned projects include the use of data analytics and automation for predictive maintenance and smart operations to improve the efficiency of urban services.

The two companies will also evaluate the development of energy-efficient data centres and cloud ecosystems. This includes implementing facility management software designed to optimise energy consumption and improve sustainability metrics for large-scale digital infrastructure.

The collaboration extends to smart city planning and carbon management. FPT and Sembcorp intend to hold joint workshops and training sessions to facilitate knowledge sharing between their respective innovation teams and urban development experts.
