The Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has selected Texan firm Iteris to monitor the city’s roadways and intersections. The firm will implements its ClearGuide SaaS system under a 42 month, multi-million dollar contract. Iteris is working on the project with TrafQuest, a local transportation solutions provider.

ClearGuide will provide Dubai RTA with features including bottleneck detection and alerts; dynamic maps to support detailed location-specific traffic analysis; route alerts to help identify and mitigate congestion; animations to analyse events and optimize response plans; historical trend reports and dynamic congestion charts to track improvements; reliability and support planning.

ClearGuide is a components of Iteris’ ClearMobility Platform. It applies cloud computing, artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, advisory services and managed services to roadway management.
