Beam Smart City sales across Balkans

Clean tech company Beam Global has reported over $1 million in smart cities infrastructure sales within a single week in the Balkans.
The sales, which occurred in February, include public lighting systems, telecommunication towers, and transportation-supporting solutions across Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
The San Diego based company recently adopted a strategy to diversify its product offerings and expand internationally. Founded in 2006, Beam has historically focused on off-grid, solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and battery solutions The new strategy aims to diversify the company’s technology and market operations into new areas.
Beam believes that the recent sales in the Balkans are vindicating its new strategy.
In January 2026, Beam secured its largest-ever residential sale of its EV ARC systems for a development in New York, marking a major expansion beyond government contracts.
In late January 2026, the company was granted a European patent for its thermal management technology used in lithium-ion battery systems.
