Vodafone has launched a digital smart home consultancy service in Qatar for users looking to begin their smart home journey.
The service is designed to offer expert advice on what’s new in smart home technology and how to transform any room, apartment or villa into a smart environment with Vodafone’s smart devices.
With these devices, residents and homeowners can monitor their home with smart cameras, detect water leaks with smart sensors, detect movement of doors and windows, activate electronic appliances using smart plugs, and control home lighting, including customising colour and brightness, with smart bulbs.
These functionalities can all be accessed and controlled remotely through smartphones. In turn, a smart home environment offers comfort, home security and efficiency, as well as safety and peace of mind with contactless control over commonly used home devices.
Vodafone’s consultants can match individual customers’ needs to the devices that suit their home environment. A smart hub connects every room of any size home with a wifi mesh network. The hub that can connect wirelessly with a wide range of smart devices and make them work together and controlled easily from a smartphone even when away from home.
Vodafone Qatar recently expanded the range of available devices to include a smart water sensor that sends instant notification when it detects a water leakage; a wireless Bluetooth smart lock offering control over access to the home; motion activated nightlights and bedside lamps; portable LED lamps; and smart home cameras that will let a user talk to loved ones and keep an eye on their home while away.
“Our new smart home consultancy unit helps consumers easily upgrade their homes to smart homes with features that will digitise their lives,” said Diego Camberos, chief operating officer of Vodafone Qatar. “This smart technology is designed for creating any desired atmosphere in a home while conveniently controlling aspects like energy efficiency, home security and other features.”
