Utah-based smart home company Vivint has announced Vivint for Builders, a direct, end-to-end smart home security offering to ease and simplify the builder workflow and homeowner experience.

In today’s housing market, smart home technology is an expectation from future homeowners wanting protection, comfort and convenience. With Vivint for Builders, home builders can select the smart home package that best fits their needs, starting with the essentials such as a thermostat and doorbell camera, and Vivint will take care of the rest. Vivint’s in-house technicians perform all installation and service, while its customer care team supports customer needs, including adding devices and features, with no lift from the builder.

“Vivint for Builders is easily the best partnership experience for builders wanting an easier and more efficient way of doing business,” said Gene LaNois, Vivint (www.vivint.com) vice president. “Gone are the days of complicated processes involving manufacturers, wholesalers and sub-contractors. With Vivint, we handle everything for the builder, offering a first-class installation experience to implement a base system into every home, then work directly with the homeowners to make their smarter house a smart home.”

Packages can include a combination of products, including Outdoor Camera Pro, Doorbell Camera Pro, Spotlight Pro, smart locks and thermostats, and water and door sensors, all connected and controlled via a central hub and app. Plus, Vivint’s Smart Comfort technology helps home buyers increase energy savings. Vivint is also partnering with other manufacturers of connected home products to ensure those devices are provisioned and integrated to ensure a value experience for the homeowner.

Builders can personalise smart home systems from property to property, ensuring performance for every building’s individual design. Homeowners will have a Vivint account and can personalise their systems, as their needs change and grow. Vivint will own that process, without involvement from the builders.

Professionally trained technicians arrive at each property with all the necessary Vivint products and tools to complete the entire system installation. There are no subcontractors, so this reduces any chance of installation error. After setting up the system, the installer will show the homeowner how to use the products and app to ensure understanding for immediate use. Vivint also offers round-the-clock in-house customer support.
