An all-in-one smart baby monitor from Chinese smart home security firm YI Technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) so parents can check on their baby from afar via custom smart alerts.

Powered by edge computing AI technology, KamiBaby has a series of smart features including baby cry detection; microphone and speaker capabilities to record signing or storytelling and replay them; humidity and temperature measuring with smart alerts; and a night light and wake up light to help parents during a night-time diaper change without startling the baby.

The sleep cycle insights and sleep quality reports help parents track habits and development and an easily understandable app interface allows parents to check on the baby and receive activity notifications.

The baby diary and sleep statistics combine body movement, cry alerts, temperature and humidity information to share sleep and quality of sleep details. KamiBaby makes it easier to share important moments with loved ones by offering secure access to the baby monitor’s view. Integration with smart home devices allows parents to view the baby on screen-based Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices.

KamiBaby features comprise baby cry detection, sleep summary, smart album, live-stream video sharing, temperature and humidity sensor, two-way talk, 360 degree speaker, built-in night light, FHD 1080P image quality, and Kami Cloud and SD card storage.

The device measures 70.6 by 140.7mm, and has a rabbit ear design. It uses a 2MP CMOS image sensor and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p HD. The app works on iOS and Android devices and the device connects using 2.4GHz wifi.
