Schneider launches SMART Buildings division

Energy management and automation firm Schneider Electric is transforming its Digital is launching its SMART Buildings Division in Canada. The company called this a strategic move to deliver comprehensive solutions and services that support building owners and operators in achieving their decarbonization and sustainability goals.
The demand for smart buildings is surging, driven by a global shift toward sustainability, digitization. Schneider also cited that Canada’s real estate industry is transforming as the nation commits to net-zero emissions by 2050. “Through our SMART Buildings division in Canada, we’re set to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort,” said Emily Heitman, president of Schneider Electric Canada, in a press release. “Our goal is to empower building owners and operators to create smarter, more efficient spaces for a sustainable future.”
The SMART Buildings division will provide:
- Enhanced energy efficiency by optimizing energy consumption to achieve cost savings and reduce environmental impact.
- Seamless automation by creating harmonious environments where lighting, HVAC, security systems, and more work together to optimize comfort and efficiency.
- Proactive maintenance by leveraging predictive analytics and remote monitoring to ensure proactive maintenance, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of building systems.
- Occupant well-being by providing personalized settings, indoor air quality monitoring, and intuitive interfaces that enhance overall experience.
- Data-driven insights by providing data analytics for informed decision-making and continuous improvement of building performance.

The division offers tools, guidance, and expertise to improve building efficiency and achieve sustainability objectives.
