Shenzhen-based Legend Robot has launched an autonomous finishing series of robots for interior commercial construction. The series uses Physical AI to apply coatings while in motion, and aims to target labour shortages in the North American construction sector.
The company launched two flagship models: a 6.2-metre Latex Painting Robot and a 6.2-metre Putty Spraying Robot. Both units utilise third-generation mobile continuous spraying technology, which allows the machines to maintain non-stop motion while covering expansive facades and high ceilings.
Technical features include: 50% increase in application efficiency compared to manual methods; reported 60% reduction in verified construction costs; 3D real-time sensing and dynamic path planning for complex surfaces; and LiDAR-based navigation for alignment and jobsite movement
Jason Liang, marketing director at Legend Robot, said the company is expanding its product roadmap to include tile-laying and floor-grinding robots. The 2026 lineup includes specialised units for both high-volume commercial projects and precision residential finishes.
The robots are designed to operate in environments described by the company as “dull, dirty, and dangerous,” reducing the reliance on skilled manual labour. Legend Robot is positioning the fleet as a scalable solution for general contractors to maintain consistent quality and project timelines.
