Toronto-based Baylin Technologies’ Galtronics multibeam antennas have been selected for installation in stadiums hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026. The deployment will cover venues across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
The antennas are designed to support high-capacity wireless services, including 5G networks, public safety communications, and broadcast services. The infrastructure is intended to manage the high data demands of an estimated five million in-person attendees and six billion global viewers.
The Galtronics antenna platforms provide: high-density coverage for stadium seating areas; spectrum efficiency for mobile network operators; connectivity for mission-critical and emergency communications; and support for simultaneous video sharing and digital services by tens of thousands of users.
Baylin has also announced it has extended the deadline to satisfy the financing condition for its acquisition of Kaelus AB. The company now has until 31 March 2026 to raise approximately $42 million in cash to complete the purchase and repay existing indebtedness.
Leighton Carroll, CEO of Galtronics, said the selection reflects the company’s position in providing radio frequency (RF) solutions for large-scale venues. Baylin Technologies focuses on the design and manufacture of passive and active RF products for satellite and terrestrial communications.
