IoT provider Wireless Logic has acquired IoT connectivity specialist Comms365.
This should strengthen Comms365’s position in the UK’s consolidating connectivity market, enabling its customers to access to a wider range of network options including satellite.
Comms365 provides internet connectivity including IoT and secure managed services using cellular, fixed, satellite and bonded technologies. Powered by its own network services, it has capability to meet the continually increasing demands for resilient always on internet services.
Known for its innovative IoT and bonded offerings, quality delivery, responsive support and long-term customer relationships, the business should now benefit from the scale of Wireless Logic’s product and partner ecosystem. This provides the operational depth needed to support service continuity while allowing it to continue operating with the same customer-focused approach.
As part of the transition, Mike van Bunnens, Comms365 CEO, will step away from the business following a handover period. John Whitty will take on the role of CEO with Shaun Nicholls, CTO, continuing in his role.
“This is an important and exciting next step for the business,” said Whitty. “It allows us to continue delivering reliable, technically advanced and resilient options to our customers, while giving us the support to remain agile to provide the smartest solutions incorporating the latest technology. I look forward to leading the business into its next phase of growth with the Wireless Logic team.”
Van Bunnens added: “I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved over the last 18 years. Building a solid, reliable and well-respected business was at the heart of our original business plan. We’ve achieved that with our loyal customer base and fantastic team dedicated to solving customer challenges.”
And Cyril Deschanel, group managing director at Wireless Logic (wirelesslogic.com), said: “This agreement reinforces our long-term commitment to the UK market. We’re pleased to welcome the Comms365 team and support their continued growth.”
Comms365 will continue to operate as a standalone business, with no immediate changes to customer contracts, partner relationships or day-to-day operations.
Founded in 2008, Comms365 (www.comms365.com) is a UK-based provider of connectivity, managed networking and IoT for the business-to-business market. The company’s portfolio includes SD-WAN, IoT, bonded internet satellite, and 4G and 5G network services.
