Taoglas AI engine aids antenna selection

Irish RF specialist Taoglas has launched an AI-driven antenna product recommendation engine to help engineers and organisations select antennas and RF components.
Available worldwide, the tool empowers both experienced seasoned RF engineers and non-technical decision-makers with automated, intelligent guidance that accelerates informed choices, regardless of prior RF experience.
Early-stage antenna decisions can disproportionately impact system performance, cost and time to market, yet engineers often rely on datasheets, parametric searches or manual cross comparison, a process that can consume hours or days amid the growing complexity of modern RF systems.
The recommendation engine changes the game by embedding more than two decades of Taoglas expertise into an always-available digital tool. The platform applies AI trained on real-world design knowledge to scan, filter and refine suitable products in minutes, drawing on insights from tens of thousands of projects worldwide.
With one of the broadest antenna portfolios in the industry, spanning thousands of variants across frequencies, form factors and applications, Taoglas understands that identifying the right starting point is often the hardest part. The recommendation engine breaks down these barriers, giving users autonomy to move quickly from concept to sampling, prototyping and testing.
Experienced hardware engineers can rapidly narrow their options, while system designers less familiar with antenna trade-offs receive guided insight to proceed with confidence.
This tool is the latest addition to the AntennaXpert ecosystem, complementing Taoglas’ Antenna Builder and Cable Builder for configuration, as well as the Antenna Integrator for PCB placement.
“Choosing the right antenna has traditionally depended on individual experience, undocumented expertise and extensive manual comparison,” said David Connolly, product management director at Taoglas (www.taoglas.com). “This recommendation engine is a game-changer. We’ve distilled our RF knowledge into an intuitive tool that delivers answers on demand, whether you know exactly what you need or you’re still defining your application.”
The recommendation engine (www.taoglas.com/ai-product-recommendation-engine/) is free to use and designed as a scalable platform, with plans to grow into an even broader RF knowledge base over time.
