Aeris has appointed Suresh Sathyamurthy as chief marketing officer to lead its marketing, communications and go-to-market strategy as the company accelerates its expansion into securing and connecting physical AI.

Physical AI covers the rapidly growing category of autonomous vehicles, robotics and intelligent machines operating in the physical world.

The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Aeris. As enterprises and capital markets increasingly shift investment towards autonomous systems, robotics and software-defined mobility, the connectivity and security demands placed on physical hardware have grown more complex and more mission-critical.

Sathyamurthy joins to scale Aeris’ go-to-market organisation globally, sharpen the company’s category leadership and accelerate its reach into new physical AI markets, building on a connectivity footprint that already connects 115 million devices and supports 45 million vehicles on the road today.

“AI is moving off the screen and into the physical world, powering autonomous fleets, robotics and intelligent infrastructure everywhere,” said Sathyamurthy. “Few companies have the connectivity and security foundation Aeris has built over the years.”

He joins Aeris with more than two decades of executive leadership with Palo Alto Networks, Dell EMC and Microsoft, as well as with high-growth start-ups. Among his many achievements, he helped grow Microsoft Azure from inception into a multi-billion business and led marketing for the largest division of Palo Alto Networks.

“Aeris has spent years earning the trust of enterprises who depend on us to keep their most critical assets connected and secure,” said Aziz Benmalek, Aeris CEO. “As physical AI reshapes how the world moves, builds and operates, our customers need a partner who can match that pace. Suresh brings the experience and vision, and I’m confident he’ll help us scale with the speed and ambition this market demands.”

As physical AI systems take on greater autonomy, a dropped connection or security breach is no longer just a data-loss event. This can mean a real-world safety incident. Aeris’ combination of global connectivity management, auto leadership and zero-trust security is designed to meet that higher bar.

Aeris (aeris.com) provides a secure connectivity platform for physical AI, transforming autonomous mobility and robotics, automotive, utilities and energy, fleet management and logistics, medical devices, and manufacturing. Built on a global ecosystem of 7000 enterprise customers, more than 30 mobile network operator partners, and more than 115 million connected devices worldwide, Aeris gives enterprises the borderless connectivity, security and scale needed to run mission-critical physical AI programmes.
