Through a partnership with California-based Swift Navigation, Serbian embedded technology firm Mikroe has introduced the Skylark precise positioning service to its GNSS 19 Click board.

GNSS 19 Click is a compact add-on board designed for multi-constellation GNSS positioning, navigation and tracking in demanding outdoor environments. The board is based on the SE868K5-D, a standard dual-frequency multi-constellation GNSS module from Telit Cinterion, which provides accuracy by using multiple frequency bands and constellations simultaneously.

Skylark is a global, cloud-based GNSS correction service that delivers reliable centimetre-level accuracy for applications spanning autonomous navigation, agriculture, construction and micromobility, backed by carrier-grade networks and service level agreements.

“We signed the agreement with Swift Navigation to make GNSS more accessible to a broader audience,” said Nebojsa Matic, CEO of Mikroe.

The variant is shipping with a six-month free trial of Skylark worth between $150 and $350 per account so engineers can evaluate designs and make changes with no upfront cost. After the trial, Skylark services continue from $29/month per device.

The Telit Cinterion (www.telit.com) module at the heart of the board combines GPS/QZSS and Galileo in the L1/E1 and L5/E5 bands, Glonass in the L1 band, Beidou in the B1 and B2 bands, and SBAS support to improve positioning accuracy and reduce multipath effects in dense urban areas.

The board has NMEA data output, raw measurement support, AGNSS ephemeris injection, local short-term ephemeris prediction for faster TTFF, selectable uart or I²C communication, USB-to-uart boot support, and more. Applications include fleet management, e-mobility, road tolling, automotive telematics, cellular basestations, wearable sports monitors, drones and other GNSS-based positioning systems.
