Melita is extending the international operations of its IoT connectivity with the acquisition of German IoT connectivity firm Digital SIM.

Digital SIM is a IoT mobile communications provider with 20 years of experience in business customer support and carrier operations. It delivers tailored IoT and M2M connectivity to SMEs, corporates, utilities and municipalities in the Dach region. Its customers can access more than 500 global networks integrated into a single management platform and the personal support of a skilled team. The company promotes a partnership approach with its stakeholders to deliver tailor-made connectivity to a wide range of business clients.

Following the deal with Melita, Digital SIM connectivity customers will get access to the functionality and services offered by melita.io, including its roaming footprint and security features. Melita’s IoT connectivity is already seamlessly integrated in the Digital SIM customer platform. Customers can now also use the service using the newly introduced melita.io eSIM or the more traditional MFF2 or plastic SIM formats.
