Taiwanese firm IBase Technology has launched a Risc-based 8.9cm single board computer (SBC) for compact, low-power and performance-driven applications in IoT, AI and edge deployments.

The IBR500 has at its heart the MediaTek Genio 700 (MT8390) or Genio 510 (MT8370) processor, delivering processing speeds of up to 2.2GHz.

The board integrates 4 or 8Gbyte LPDDR4 memory and 64 or 128Gbyte eMMC storage, ensuring a balance between performance, power consumption and reliability. With its compact 8.9cm form factor, it is suitable for embedded applications requiring energy efficiency and space savings.

The SBC supports dual display outputs with HDMI 2.0 at 4K60 and HDMI 1.4 at FHD60, delivering smooth, high-resolution graphics performance. Offering up to 3.2Tops AI inference capability, it enables real-time vision analytics, intelligent edge computing and digital signage applications.

Engineered for IoT scalability, the board features GbE LAN, USB and Com ports, as well as an M.2 E-Key expansion slot for wireless connectivity via wifi or Bluetooth.

Supporting Yocto Linux, Android and Ubuntu, it provides developers with flexibility for a wide range of use cases in industrial automation, smart retail and AI-driven edge applications.

Building on the IBR500 SBC, the ISR500 fanless edge system leverages its performance within a rugged chassis, delivering more reliability and durability in harsh environments. With its IO, dual HDMI outputs and flexible expansion, the ISR500 is for digital signage, IoT gateways and AI applications that demand low-power operation and robust system performance.
