Hirsch, Unibeam SIM-based enterprise authentication

Unibeam and Hirsch have launched SecureSIM, an authentication solution that uses mobile SIM cards to verify identities. The technology is designed to protect enterprises against phishing and AI-driven identity theft by binding cryptographic identifiers to a user’s device.
SecureSIM operates by using the secure hardware element already present in SIM, eSIM, and iSIM cards. This method removes the need for physical security tokens or one-time password (OTP) interception, which are common targets for credential theft. The solution is carrier-independent and functions globally without requiring a dedicated mobile application.
The system is integrated into Hirsch’s existing identity security portfolio, which includes hardware keys and credential-based multi-factor authentication (MFA). By using the SIM card as a hardware-backed security anchor, organisations can deploy MFA remotely and immediately to distributed workforces.
“SecureSIM gives our customers another tool to counter today’s threats through hardware-backed security, without adding friction,” said Louis Modell, Global GM at Hirsch. He noted that the solution aims to reduce the operational burden of managing physical hardware lifecycles.
Ran Ben-David, CEO of Unibeam, stated that the collaboration enables organisations to adopt hardware-rooted verification that is scalable. The companies will demonstrate the technology at the Identiverse 2026 conference in Las Vegas.
