IoT connectivity specialist floLIVE is partnering Brazilian IoT network operator NLT Telecom to promote use of eSIMs equipped with the new SGP.32 standard in the Latin American IoT market.

The SGP.32 eSIM standard, developed by the GSMA to meet the specific demands of the IoT market, is designed to provide IoT device users and service providers with greater control and flexibility. The new standard will reduce both logistical and operational costs for IoT deployment and operation. SGP.32 also incorporates enhanced security and allows for refined control over network access and data integrity.

The new standard is currently undergoing final approval by the GSMA and is expected to be released before the end of 2025.

The joint initiative includes eSIM orchestration tools with unified controls, multi-IMSI solutions and SIM and APN-level customisations. According to the companies, the goal is to ensure transparent transitions between networks without intervention on connected devices.

The first user of the new eSim solutions developed by NLT and floLIVE will be deployed by TNS, a provider of IaaS with a presence in more than 60 countries and a growing presence in Latin America.
