Fibocom launched a 5G + Wifi 7 module for 5G FWA during last week’s Computex in Taipei, satisfying the demand for higher data-throughput and extending Wifi 7 performance in home, small and medium-sized business (SMB) and industrial scenarios.

High bandwidth and low latency make the FG370 suitable for 5G FWA scenarios such as smart home, SMB and industrial monitoring.

The multiplier option can be realised by coupling with the latest Wifi 7 technology, unleashing the potential of a fast wireless experience for end users. Compliant with the IEEE 802.11be (Wifi 7) standard, the 5G + Wifi 7 module supports a 4K QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) scheme as well as up to 160MHz channel bandwidth to expand the data transmission capacity and reduce latency efficiently. The module (www.fibocom.com/en/products/5G-FG370-NA.html) also supports dual-band 2.4GHz 4×4 and 5GHz 5×5 to achieve MLO speed of up to 7.2Gbit/s.

In terms of reliability and transmission efficiency, the integration with OFDMA, multi-RU and MU-MIMO technologies guarantees interference-free, signal-boosted performance. Driven by the 5T5R system empowered by the Wifi 7 chipset, end users should benefit from 5dB antenna gains and extended network coverage compared with previous generations.
