IoT connectivity provider Emnify has joined the IoT M2M Council (IMC) to expand its global footprint.

The German provider of cellular and non-terrestrial connectivity for a wide range of IoT devices has joined the IMC to promote its reach in various regional markets, particularly the Americas. The company’s eSIM card allows for seamless mobile connectivity, switching between a wide range of cellular carriers when connected devices travel across the globe.

For its part, the IMC is the largest trade group dedicated to accelerating the adoption of IoT technology, with 28,000 rank-and-file members, roughly 35% in North America, 30% in Emea and 25% in Asia.

“We look at the IMC as an ideal go-to-market platform, particularly for our eSIM suite,” said Matt Mallette, vice president for Emnify (www.emnify.com) in North America. “Emnify has been expanding steadily, particularly in traditional industrial and building applications. We’re looking to expand our eSIM coverage in the Americas with applications like fleet monitoring and asset tracking for worldwide supply-chain management.”

The company recently announced that its eSIMs now conform to the GSMA SGP.32 standard, which allows for remote provisioning for the entire lifecycle of a device. Significantly, Emnify was also selected as a visionary for IoT connectivity in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for the sector in 2026.
