Digi International has added seven new features to its Digi Axess cloud-based infrastructure management platform. The updates are designed to consolidate remote access, cellular SIM management, and data analytics into a single interface for industrial IoT deployments.
The new features include a native VPN link that allows operators to access edge devices without separate software configurations. For customers on Digi data plans, the platform now provides integrated visibility into SIM details, including IMEI and IP addresses. The update also allows users to monitor non-Digi devices operating on a Digi Axess VPN.
Technical improvements include interactive multi-device graphing for sensor readings and threshold history analytics to help identify recurring equipment failures. A new mapping tool visualises the relationships between physical inputs and automation logic, while battery monitoring features help distinguish between intentional replacements and unexpected power failures.
“Customers described their needs, and we delivered,” said Jayson Ness, Product Manager at Digi International. “What makes it different is that three of these expansions are only possible because Digi owns the full stack from device to cloud.”
The platform is designed for use in utilities, manufacturing, and oil and gas sectors. It works natively with Digi’s industrial hardware, including the Z45 Industrial Controller and Connect Sensor XRT-M.
