Digi’s Connect EZ TS serial device servers have been launched to enable secure transition to modern IP networks.

The Digi Connect EZ 4 TS and EZ 8 TS are designed to help organisations modernise legacy serial infrastructure with enhanced security and centralised management without requiring enclosure or wiring changes.

The family builds on the current Connect EZ platform and provides an efficient transition path for existing ConnectPort TS and PortServer TS deployments, while introducing capabilities for today’s IT and OT requirements.

Serial connectivity remains essential across industrial automation, robotics, retail PoS, kiosks and embedded systems. However, many deployments lack the security and remote access capabilities required in modern environments. Connect EZ TS enables organisations to connect securely and manage legacy serial devices over IP without replacing existing equipment.

The four- and eight-port models have software-selectable RS-232, 422 and 485.

Digi TrustFence provides security with encryption, authentication and VPN support. Centralised management is via Digi Remote Manager or On-Prem Manager.

The slim, panel-friendly design allows for easy cabinet integration.

Fast setup is enabled with Digi Navigator and Python support for edge automation

A one-year Digi LifeCycle Assurance provides round-the-clock technical support and centralised management.

The product enables: secure modernisation of legacy serial infrastructure; remote monitoring, troubleshooting and firmware updates; and compliance with enterprise security standards TLS, FIPS, VPN, Radius and TACACS+. It can be used in industrial, energy, manufacturing and enterprise environments.

SOC 2 type validated Remote Manager provides secure cloud-based deployment and monitoring with better than 99.9% uptime and broad compliance support. On-Prem Manager offers the same capabilities for air-gapped environments.
