AT&T unveiled its IoT Network Intelligence at last week’s CES in Las Vegas to help businesses enhance visibility of their IoT-connected devices.

Purpose-built for the next era of connectivity, it provides enterprises with visibility into the performance of their connected ecosystems to help drive operational efficiency and streamline IoT device management.

The initial offering, IoT Network Intelligence Standard, equips enterprises with a set of 4G and 5G network performance KPIs and insights for devices connected to the AT&T network. With an intuitive visualisation dashboard, users can rapidly access detailed performance data to drive smarter decision-making, operational optimisation and an enhanced user experience.

Key features of IoT Network Intelligence Standard include:

  • Device-level KPIs: Monitor and analyse key performance indicators such as signal strength, data throughput and latency to support troubleshooting and faster issue investigation.
  • Location-based performance: Access insights on how IoT devices perform across different geographic areas for a clearer perspective on device operations.
  • Insightful analytics: Identify device-level performance outliers, highlight opportunities for improvement and guide further analysis.

The IoT Network Intelligence service suite is expected to evolve over time to meet the needs of sectors such as healthcare, transportation and industrial. By developing and integrating advancements such as network-based mobile threat and anomaly detection (MTAD), which leverages machine learning and threat intelligence to detect anomalies and deliver actionable insights, AT&T says it is advancing IoT visibility, intelligence and security.

“With AT&T IoT Network Intelligence, we’re providing our customers with the tools they need to gain deeper insights into their IoT operations,” said Cameron Coursey, vice president at AT&T (about.att.com). “This is a game-changer, offering enhanced clarity that will drive efficiency and innovation across industries.”
