At this week’s Japan IT Week in Tokyo, Taiwanese firm AS Rock presented its latest secure edge AIoT portfolio, combining high-performance computing platforms with integrated cyber security and intelligent automation software to support digital transformation in industrial and commercial environments.
Designed to address the accelerating demand for smart manufacturing, AI-driven automation and resilient infrastructure, the products enable seamless deployment from edge device to system operation while ensuring long-term reliability and security.
The firm featured scalable edge AI platforms built for compute-intensive workloads requiring both centralised training and real-time inference. The iEPF-11000S, powered by Intel Xeon 600 processors with support for up to four GPUs, delivers enterprise-grade AI processing for industrial applications. For space-constrained environments, the iEPF-9040S-EW4 and iEP-9040E provide compact yet reliable inference performance suitable for factory automation, machine vision and smart infrastructure deployments.
Its industrial IoT controller line includes the iEP-7040E, iEP-5010G-DCN and iEP-6020E, designed to enable deterministic control, OT integration and seamless connectivity between AI intelligence and field equipment. The rugged iEP-5010G-DCN supports operation in hazardous environments with industrial safety certifications and durable design. The platform enables reliable real-time OT integration and deterministic control across sectors such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and heavy manufacturing. With edge AI readiness and industrial connectivity, the iEP-5010G-DCN helps organisations enhance operational safety, reduce downtime and support intelligent automation at the edge.
The firm’s embedded computing line demonstrates advances in AI acceleration and energy-efficient inference. The NUC(S) Ultra 300 Box series, powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, enables on-device AI processing with power efficiency for edge deployments. Also showcased, the AI Box-A395, powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, deliveres workstation-class AI capability in a compact form factor for inference development and data-intensive workloads.
The exhibition also highlighted AS Rock’s latest industrial motherboards, including the IMB-X1904 with Intel Xeon 600 processors, alongside platforms supporting Intel Core Ultra Series 3/2, Core Series 2, Atom processors and AMD EPYC 4005, Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000, and Ryzen AI processors. Engineered for longevity and reliability, these boards provide secure firmware architecture, IO connectivity and flexible expansion options to support automation, AI-enabled devices and long-lifecycle embedded deployments.
ASRock (www.asrockind.com) presented a live demonstration of AiSafeguard, its industrial cyber-security offering designed to protect increasingly connected OT environments. The demo highlighted capabilities including real-time threat detection and device monitoring, honeypot-based sandbox isolation, zero-trust access control, data integrity protection and enhanced system resilience. Integrated with its edge platforms, AiSafeguard provides centralised visibility and proactive protection to help organisations strengthen cyber security across industrial automation environments.
