TFree unveils micromobility OS at Eurobike

At last month’s Eurobike show in Frankfurt, German company TFree unveiled an operating system targeting micromobility applications.

The AI Micro Mobility 2.0 was described as an underlying operating system for low-speed intelligent transport, driving the global last-kilometre logistics and micromobility industry from isolated vehicle management to full-stack, AI-driven ecosystem orchestration.

The TFree brand was created by German manufacturer Luxmea (www.luxmea.com), which has delivered more than 400,000 electric bicycles compliant with EN 15194 and 150,000 commercial cargo vehicles compliant with EN 17860.

TFree integrates heavy-duty commercial chassis engineering, intelligent vehicle control systems and cloud-native software ecosystems. This synergy establishes a standard digital infrastructure covering two-, three- and four-wheel light commercial vehicles, autonomous delivery platforms, and robotics applications.

Centred around three pillars – a universal chassis platform, intelligent vehicle control, and software and ecosystem services – and powered by a software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture, TFree leverages 4G IoT connectivity, full-stack over-the-air (OTA) updates, AI predictive maintenance and open APIs to enable efficient coordination across vehicles, fleets, infrastructure and application scenarios.

The company is constructing an open AI ecosystem network. By collaborating with the Yancheng CAS-HT Computing Research Institute, Neolix autonomous delivery vehicles and Galbot embodied AI robotics, the company is exploring the commercial scale-up of high-performance computing, digital twin technologies, autonomous delivery and embodied robotics in low-speed transportation environments.

In Europe, TFree has already initiated pilot demonstration projects. It is collaborating with Bonn-based operator Vemo and Stalem in Belgium, to advance and validate intelligent fleet operations, digital energy replenishment and multi-scenario micromobility built upon TFree’s universal chassis platform.

Natively engineered to comply with GDPR, CE, ISO, the EU Battery Passport and Din EN 17860 standards, the company wants to become a long-term technology partner for European enterprises, municipal organisations and large-scale fleets.

Moving forward, TFree (www.tfree.com) intends to continue uniting with OEMs, logistics enterprises, autonomous driving companies, robotics developers and smart city stakeholders to co-build infrastructure standards for global low-speed intelligent mobility.
