Siemens, Universal Robots, and Robotiq have demonstrated a palletising solution that integrates robotic technology with digital twin capabilities.

The system combines Robotiq’s PAL Ready palletising cell with Universal Robots’ UR20 robot arm, connected to Siemens’ automation hardware and Digital Twin Composer software. The integrated platform employs real-time data analytics to optimise gripper performance and suction points dynamically.

Siemens’ global vice president of sales and customer success, Stuart McCutcheon, said in a statement: “This collaboration brings together advanced automation and digital twin technology with the power of industrial AI.”

The joint solution was designed to support operational needs by palletising boxes using real-time insights into cell behaviour. The system uses data captured from Siemens’ Industrial Edge hardware and streamed to Siemens’ Insights Hub Copilot.
