Siemens & Bouygues Industry 4.0 alliance

ALTEN, Bouygues Telecom Entreprises and Siemens France have signed a partnership for development of Industrial 5G for a period of three years. The three companies aim to accelerate uptake of industrial 5G in France through their collaboration.

The partnership is targeting France’s top 40 companies as well as French intermediate size enterprises. They will offer develop support and business services to help expansion of Industry 4.0 in France.

ALTEN is a French engineering and IT services group. Bouygues Telecom is a French mobile and internet services provider, and part of the Bouygues Group. Bouygues Telecom Enterprises is the business services arm of the company.

According to a statement, the 5G network and private network solutions of Bouygues Telecom will be coupled with the OT solutions of Siemens France. These will be integrated and adapted for specific industrial use cases by ALTEN.

This partnership will enable the industrial scale-up of these new opportunities by ensuring rapid deployment and an optimal return on investment. It will aim to support change management with the customer’s employees through interactive training, integrating knowledge of 5G, Siemens simulation capabilities and ALTEN’s technological and business expertise.

The three companies are aiming to create personalised support offers integrating multiple uses of 5G for manufacturers in order to accelerate the digital transition.

According to the companies, this approach, combining real knowledge of industrial challenges and OT with that of public and private 5G networks, is unprecedented on the French market.

The three companies will showcase 5G Industry 4.0 solutions through a number of demonstrators, including: Bouygues Telecom’s InnoLab for Business, a demonstrator of private 5G and its Use Cases, particularly in the industrial field; Siemens France’s Digital Experience Centre (DEC), providing demonstrators for the manufacturing and process industries, as well as automation & industrial IoT technologies; and ALTEN Labs’s demonstrators for Factory 4.0. IT/OT convergence technologies.
