Robotiq AI platform for robotic workcell integration

Robotiq has introduced an AI-enabled platform to automate integration of robotic workcells. The IQ system aims to replace manual engineering processes by using historical deployment data and machine learning to generate validated designs for factory installations.

The platform captures project data through voice notes, file uploads, and 3D site scanning. These inputs are converted into digital twin models to simulate performance and validate cycle times before physical hardware is deployed. The system is currently available for robotic palletising applications, with plans to expand to other manufacturing tasks.

By using standardized engineering rules, the platform coordinates workflows between manufacturers and system integrators. Robotiq claims the technology can reduce project delays caused by fragmented data and manual design revisions during the discovery phase of automation.

“Automation does not scale when integration remains manual,” said Samuel Bouchard, CEO of Robotiq. “With IQ, we are moving from manually engineering robotic systems one project at a time to automatically generating workcells from real customer inputs.”

The Quebec-based company demonstrated the technology at its 2026 user conference, showing how a workcell could be designed and simulated in 24 hours. The platform is intended to support local partners by providing a repeatable digital workflow for installation and maintenance.
