Quectel Wireless Solutions has launched two new Android 16 smart modules for industrial IoT applications.

The release includes the SH602FA, a 4G module designed for high-performance industrial terminals, and the SE505FE, an entry-level 5G module. Both units are engineered to integrate wireless connectivity and multimedia processing into compact form factors for use in smart buildings, industrial handhelds, and robotics.

The SH602FA utilises a MediaTek MT8786 chipset with a multi-core processor architecture and a G52 MC2 GPU. It supports cameras up to 64MP and 2K video at 30 frames per second, integrating LTE Cat 4, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.1. The SE505FE is built on the MediaTek MT8863T chipset, supporting 5G Sub-6GHz, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 for applications such as smart gateways and industrial digital signage.

By utilising Android 16, the modules allow connected devices to communicate directly with surrounding infrastructure, such as energy management platforms, without requiring extensive custom software integration.
