Belgian firm Luminus has selected Rockwell Automation’s SecureOT platform to manage cybersecurity across its industrial and energy infrastructure.

The platform will be deployed across Luminus’ thermal, hydro, wind, and battery storage sites to provide visibility of operational technology (OT) assets. The system is designed to identify vulnerabilities in multi-vendor environments and prioritise maintenance based on risk levels.

The deployment follows increasing regulatory requirements in Europe, including the NIS2 Directive and IEC 62443 standards for industrial automation. The platform allows operators to monitor critical infrastructure and manage the lifecycle of connected industrial assets.

“Growing regulatory requirements, including NIS2, together with an increasingly complex threat landscape, require a structured approach to understanding and managing cyber risk,” said Maarten Baert, O&M Manager for Cybersecurity at Luminus.

Rockwell Automation stated that the implementation used a collaborative model to help Luminus develop internal expertise. The energy provider is now independently expanding the platform’s use to integrate further operational technology assets into its central security system.
