Intel and FPT are partnering to develop AI-driven solutions for factory optimisation. The collaboration aims to facilitate the transition to autonomous manufacturing by using simulation and digital twin technologies to reduce production bottlenecks and improve downtime recovery.

The solution integrates Intel Automated Factory Solutions (AFS), including the Factory Pathfinder and Factory Recon tools, with FPT’s digital manufacturing platforms. FPT’s software, including FleziOps and FleziUDP, serves as a unified data layer that connects information from enterprise resource planning (ERP) and shop-floor systems.

The combined platform allows manufacturers to run thousands of AI-driven simulations to determine optimal production strategies. It also provides real-time digital twins to visualise material flow and resolve scheduling conflicts across complex production lines before they impact output.

“Manufacturing is one of the most complex environments in the world, and optimising it requires more than isolated tools; it requires a connected, intelligent system,” said Paul Schneider, principal engineer and director at Intel Corporation.

FPT has previously deployed digital transformation projects for more than 150 manufacturing companies. The company stated that the new collaboration with Intel will help manufacturers achieve higher levels of operational agility by operationalising AI insights at scale across global production sites.
