Heddian, OneLayer, and Druid Software have partnered to provide a unified cellular connectivity and security platform for large scale industrial infrastructure, especially that used by electric utilities. The collaboration integrates Heddian’s UtiliSIM platform with Druid’s Raemis core and OneLayer’s security software to manage private LTE/5G deployments.

The joint solution addresses increasing reliance on large-scale connected field devices and automated grid technologies. It provides a framework for managing thousands of distributed sensors across large geographic areas, allowing for automatic failover between commercial networks and private infrastructure to maintain mission-critical operations.

“By combining UtiliSIM, the Druid Raemis platform, and OneLayer’s device-centric security, we are simplifying an area that has traditionally placed a heavy burden on utilities,” said Joe Walsh, CEO of Heddian. He stated that the solution provides a practical path toward private LTE while strengthening the communications backbone of the grid.

The technical architecture supports secure remote SIM provisioning and provides unified visibility across different carriers and network types. The Raemis platform serves as a 4G/5G core that allows utilities to transition from commercial to private networks as operational requirements evolve. OneLayer provides the security layer, enabling anomaly detection, incident response, and network segmentation aligned with operational technology standards.
